The appointment of a new group of professionals to important roles in the vice president’s office has received formal approval from President John Dramani Mahama.
The recently appointed individuals are expected to contribute to the nation’s overall objective of creating a better Ghana by bringing their extensive experience and expertise to their respective roles.
Experienced professionals with various backgrounds in governance, policy development, administration, and social services are included in the complete list of appointees.
The following individuals have been appointed to the Office of the Vice President:
Alex Percival Segbefia – Chief of Staff to the Vice President
Mrs. Alberta Graham – Head of Administration
Professor Theresah Ennin – Presidential Staffer & Special Aide to the Vice President
Ms. Daniella Mavis Mathias – Secretary to the Vice President
Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo – Policy Adviser, Political
Professor Sharif Mahmud Khalid – Policy Adviser, Economic
Dr. Hamza Zakaria – Policy Adviser, Finance
Ms. Mansa Amoa Awuah – Policy Adviser, Social Sector
Dr. Miriam Rahinatu Iddrisu – Press Secretary
Maame Ama Pratt – Economic Policy Adviser
These appointments are designed to reinforce the Vice President’s ability to carry out the critical tasks of policy formulation, implementation, and national communication.
President Mahama said in a statement on Tuesday, January 28, that he was confident the new team would infuse the Office of the Vice President with new ideas and a revitalized sense of mission.
To create the Ghana we desire, the President stated, “They are expected to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to their respective roles and significantly contribute to the Resetting Ghana agenda.”
Addressing the nation’s urgent issues and establishing a foundation for long-term growth and development are the main goals of the Resetting Ghana agenda. The President hopes that the Vice President’s office will be prepared to spearhead this revolutionary journey with these new appointments.
